With a dozen different classes offered per week, there is something for everyone at Samadhi Hawaii!  Offering classes for both keiki and adults, Samadhi offers a comprehensive list of aerial and ground disciplines.  Come fly with us!

Teen Silks 1

This class is for youth, ages 12+, who are just beginning their aerial journey and want to master the fundamentals of aerial silks. Teens will work to develop upper body strength, as well as core stability and strength. Silks students will begin by working in "the knot" and progress to learning to climb and tie foot locks in the air.

Silks Basics

This class is for students 12+ who are just beginning their aerial journey and want to master the fundamentals of aerial silks.  Students will work to develop upper body strength, as well as core stability and strength.  Silks students will begin by working in "the knot" and progress to learning to climb and tie foot locks in the air.

Silks 2

This class is for students 12+ who are continuing their aerial journey and have mastered the fundamentals of aerial silks.  Students will continue to develop upper body strength, as well as core stability and strength.  Silks students will learn more intricate wraps and delve into beginner drops.

Silks 3

This aerial class is for students 12+ by permission of the instructor.  Students will push their endurance and flexibility in the air and will continue to work on more advanced wraps, drops, and sequencing.

Aerial Choreography

A class devoted to aerial sequencing on silks, for students 12+.  Open to students who are Level 2 and up.  In this class, students will test their endurance in the air and focus on transitions between skills.

Aerial Conditioning

This Aerial Conditioning class is open to all levels. Each class will include strength and flexibility training both on the mat and in the air. We will use a variety of props (including our aerial apparatus) and infuse elements of Yoga, Pilates, and circuit training in this full body conditioning class.

Dance Trapeze

A mix of dance and static trapeze basics.  All levels welcome!  The class will progress with the level of the students.

Beginner Straps

Learn the art of aerial straps, a challenging and rewarding apparatus!  Students will work on aerial strengthening exercises.  Some aerial experience is encouraged, as are wrist bands. Please note: this class only meets every other week.

Flexibility

An all ages class for those looking to deepen their range of motion in a safe and progressive way. Passive and active flexibility exercises will be taught, and students will work toward their front splits, middle splits, and bridges.

Hoop 1 with Lori

Aerial hoop (aka lyra, cerceau) level 1 is open to all, no prior experience needed! In this class you will learn about the joy that is lyra, you will learn to mount the hoop unassisted and fundamentals of skills within, around, above, and below the hoop. We will work on building strength, confidence, musicality, and much more!

 

Please wear leggings, bring socks and be ready to fall in love with this tricky apparatus!

Hoop 1 

An introduction to hoop basics working towards building flexibility, strength and stamina, with the goal of the students learning how to approach the hoop, mount, invert, hold static positions and general safety teachings being around and on the hoop.

Hoop 2 with Lori

In this class we will build off of our fundamental skills and expand our sequencing of movement, increasing endurance. We will introduce more dynamic movement and spin. We will also explore more movement around the bar and in the spanset as well as work on flexibility. This is not a beginner class. Please email us for pre-requisites.

Please wear leggings, bring socks and long sleeves. Ankle and elbow sleeves and back warmers are encouraged. Protect your skin.

Hoop 2 with Chayton

Having the prerequisite fundamentals of hoop practice, the class intends to delve beyond static positions, working towards fluid movement and transitions on the hoop. Further including more techniques such as drops, active spinning, surface level contortion on hoop, and the accompanying safety regarding the above.

Keiki Circus 1

This class is for keiki (kids/youth), ages 6-8, who are just beginning their aerial journey and want to master the fundamentals of aerial silks, hoop, and trapeze. Keiki will work to develop upper body strength, as well as core stability and strength.

This class is for keiki (kids/youth), ages 9-11, who are just beginning their aerial journey and want to master the fundamentals of aerial silks, hoop, and trapeze. Keiki will work to develop upper body strength, as well as core stability and strength.

Contortion Fundamentals

A beginners adventure into the basics of contortion, emphasizing the development of muscular coordination in extreme positions, training and mindfulness of active flexibility.

Student requirements involve the ability to hold a bridge for longer than several seconds, a completely flat split is not a requirement, but having some flexibility training will be a good benefit.

Come learn the art of this beautiful apparatus in Beginner Hammock.  Perfect for first timer aerialists or those looking to explore a new apparatus.
